The Morning Routine of the Tech Giant, Elon Musk

Sleep is essential for everyone. But with the world’s busy lives, the optimal eight hours of sleep a night is not for all. We don’t know about you, but many people struggle the next day on the bus if they don’t get seven or eight hours of sleep.

Elon Musk is one of those people who seems to be stable despite not having an average of eight hours of sleep every night. Musk has always approached it his way, so it’s no wonder that the billionaire insists he only wants six hours of sleep. We don’t recommend a six-hour sleep cycle, but that’s just what he’s doing right now. Take a look at his typical morning routine and see what you can gain from it. Oh, if you find it difficult to wake up early in the morning, please watch How to Wake Up at 4am.
Musk does not go to bed until after midnight, but when he gets up at 7 am, the first thing he does is replying to urgent and relevant emails for a half hour. Musk would take a short shower before dropping his five sons off at school and driving to work. If you want to eat breakfast, Musk’s practice is not for you. The 48-year-old claims that he is too busy to eat breakfast. And will only go out of his way once in a while to slow down and get a quick cup of coffee.
Musk enters the workplace for a day of “changing the world” every day. And then Musk has been known to work between 85 and 100 hours per week between his two companies (SpaceX and Tesla). So, how many hours a day does Musk work on average if a normal 40-hour workweek consists of five eight-hour days? We’ll leave the math to you! Musk spends 80 percent of his time at work attempting to engineer and build the next-generation product. Face-to-face meetings take up the remaining 20% of his day. Elon Musk dislikes using his phone because it causes him to get distracted, and he prefers to use a separate email as his personal one to stop people spamming him with unimportant questions.

We are somewhat confused about two aspects of Elon Musk's everyday life.

1. EXERCISE - Musk is not a fan of working out

The majority of prosperous entrepreneurs have realized the importance of physical well-being. Exercise not only keeps the body well, but it also keeps the mind in shape. With a weekly workload of more than 80 hours, Musk can benefit from fitting in a fast 30–45 minute workout more than once or twice a week.
You can indulge in a morning workout session every day. You can read our 10 Morning Workout Routines for Beginners and get an idea of it.

2. NUTRITION

Another aspect that isn’t prominent on Musk’s priority list is nutrition. Musk not only does not enjoy a decent meal, but he also does not set aside time for lunch. If he does eat lunch, it is normally something short that he takes with him to his next appointment. Musk acknowledges that when he does eat, it is normally at business events, where he admits to “eating much too much.”
Musk acknowledges that when he does eat, it is normally at business events, where he admits to “eating much too much.” Anyway, we must say that a healthy meal is a key to a healthy mind and body. So, as our previous posts have said, make sure you eat well.

His afternoons

Since he is too involved — although he admits it — he can not give as much care to his diet as he should. If Musk does eat lunch, it is normally at an afternoon briefing. He is known for being ruthlessly productive in the workplace, and he expects the same from his workers. In the afternoon, he attends meetings and works on concept projects. He is known to suddenly leave meetings if he believes his time is being lost, and he strongly discourages unwanted meetings.
He often enters a state of flow in which hours pass without his knowing, and he relies on his strict schedule to keep him on board with his goals.

In the evenings

A New York Times profile of Musk in 2018 reported that he worked up to 120 hours per week daily. Musk had planned to reduce his hours after the birth of his child “X A-12” (yes, that’s the child’s name) to spend more quality time with Grimes and his children. As a consequence of his hectic daytime routine, he consumes most of his calories at night. He satisfies his appetite with business dinners, and like previously said, he admits to consuming too much.
Musk is a fan of Diet Coke, saying that it includes “an infernal ingredient.” When Musk does eat, he prefers French cuisine and barbeque. He also drinks whiskey and wine on occasion. He gets home from work at about 10 p.m. every night, well after the younger kids have gone to bed, and spends the next few hours reading, watching anime (Evangelion and Death Note), and talking with Grimes. He heads to bed around 1 a.m. after a long day.
