Born and raised in china, Eric showed a high level of intellect and an interest in computers at an early age. During his college days, he used to take 10 hour train rides to visit his girlfriend who lived in another city and that was when he initially came up with an idea to communicate with his girlfriend without having to spend 10 hour excruciating train rides. ????????

In the mid- 90s he decided to fly to the United States and work in Silicon Valley but his visa was rejected 8 times over two years before getting accepted. He never gave up. ????????

After arriving in the US, he joined WebEx but noticed that customers weren’t very happy with it’s platform so he decided to develop a software far better and easier. He finally launched Zoom a year later in 2012 and Eric Yaun now has a net worth of more than $17 billion. ????☄
